Corks have always been indispensable to ensure the quality of the product. The Lafitte Group is equipped to offer the highest quality standards necessary to meet the expectations of clients and consumers.

The shared bond between the name Lafitte and the world of corks is very strong. The first LAFITTE unit for manufacturing cork stoppers was created in 1918, in the southwest of France.

A few years later, this same unit housed the COLIEGE METALCO EMBALLAGES capsule factory.

5 generations of the LAFITTE family have continued to carry out their activities in the service of the wine industry. Later, in 1956, a unit was established in Portugal to better control the raw material.

1982 was the year when LAFITTE CORK AND CAPSULES opened in Napa, California, to respond to the growing needs of the American market.

Then, in 2001 and 2009, LAFITTE CHILE and METALCO CHILE were created to supply the South American stopper and capsule markets locally.
